Neal Welcomes Rep. Judy Chu to Ways and Means Committee
WASHINGTON, DC – Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard Neal (D-MA) today released the following statement after the Democratic Caucus approved Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) to join the Ways and Means Committee for the 115th Congress, who fills the vacancy left by former Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA):
"I am happy to welcome Judy to the Ways and Means Committee as we hit the ground running in this new Congress. From her time serving on the California State Board of Equalization, Judy has gained invaluable experience in how to make the tax code work for local communities and small businesses – something she will bring with her as our committee looks to tackle tax reform.
