Ranking Member Levin and Senator Tammy Baldwin joined Patriotic Millionaires – a group of more than 200 wealthy Americans – in calling on Congress to close the carried interest loophole.
Closing Carried Interest Loophole Saves $15 Billion
The non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation estimated that closing the carried interest loophole would raise $15 billion in revenue that would otherwise end up in the pockets of wealthy fund managers.
