Levin Statement on President Obama’s Announcement Regarding the IRS

WASHINGTON – Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) issued the following statement today after President Obama's announcement about the IRS:

"The President took a vital first step in achieving accountability. The Treasury Inspector General's recommendations must now be fully implemented to ensure the same mistakes are not repeated. We look forward to hearing from the agency and the Treasury Inspector General on Friday as we continue our bipartisan investigation."
